An Open Letter to the Empowered Female

An Open Letter to the Empowered Female

Dear Beautiful Soul,

People will talk about you behind your back all day ; how you choose to respond to it is the real test of character. There are multiple ways you can go about situations like this, get back at the person, deny the situation, or continue being the strong woman you are with no remorse.

Getting back at a person and making the score even is originally what some people feel like doing, especially me. I was a girl who wanted you to feel exactly what I felt and didn't feel bad about it one bit. I eventually grew out of it and realized that karma is real and it will get people back no matter how much time or distance has passed. Getting back at people might make you feel good in the moment, but look yourself in the mirror and know that you are no better than they are.

Denying the situation is only avoiding true feelings. We all know the feeling we have when we bottle up so much emotion and pain about something that one day it just all explodes at once. This is one of the most unhealthy things a person can do and I know that doesn't stop anybody from doing it once in a while. The pain and heartache you get while holding things in is unbearable at times, and it is better to find somebody to let your emotions flow out too rather than just to hold them in.

Continuing to be the woman I am when somebody talks dirt on my name is a craft that I am still slowly perfecting. Recently I have been happy, carefree, and living the life that I know best; and I know it doesn't stop there. I am going to say this one time for the people in the back who aren't quite hearing, no matter what somebody says about you, it should never affect the way you see yourself. You know the truth about yourself and what truly happened, these  counterfeits only know what they want to know and the he said-she said about you. Be the carefree person that you have always been. Know what people have said about you, let them know that you know, talk to somebody about it, and continue being you. You have always been a shining light and not one single person can turn off or even dim that light. Keep being carefree because the people who are saying it, after the fact don't deserve your time of day. Know that you are loved, you are beautiful, and you are more than the words coming out of other peoples mouths. Make your own path and stay true to it.

Sincerely,

An Empowered Female X.Jr.X.
